Spread the love

This is a diverse city consisting of many interesting and unique attributes. This is a spectacle city with rooftop bars, markets skyscrapers and more making this a destination with true urban appeal.

There is a blend of tradition and modernism in this city as it is so diverse where you can have a Holy Shrine on one corner overlooking hotels and offices around the other corner.

It is not unusual to see Saffron robed monks line the streets during the morning rush hour collecting their alms.

Rattanakosin is where most travelers start then venture to the Grand Palace and Wat Po. The Chao Phraya River separates and draws a division between the city of Bangkok from Thonburi its former capital. With its canals and markets to experience the region has been fittingly described as the “Venice of the East”

Banglamphu is the destination for backpackers in the city and serves as its hub.. there is always something to be seen and done at Khao San Road an ever bustling location in Bangkok. China Town lies just south of the above mentioned destinations. Dusit lies to the North which is home to Vimanmek Mansion. Other government buildings are in and around the city.

Modern Bangkok which lies east of the canals is prime for action with a busy vibe consisting of businesses, markets and malls. Siam Square and Victory Monument all the way to Sukhumvit Road is where all the true action is as the city’s premier hotels, restaurants and bars compete for consumer attention.

Chatuchak is the ever busy and popular weekend market which is a draw for travelers and locals alike and an experience well worth experiencing once in Bangkok. You can shop, grab a bit and get a leg massage all in the same day when you visit this popular destination. Sometimes Bangkok can be overlooked by travelers focused on heading straight to the beaches or northern countryside. Bangkok is a jewel and a treasure to experience in Thailand and an adventurous destination worth discovering!
